Nette

Terms of Service

Effective 15 October 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Nette mobile app, website and related services (together, the “Service”), provided by Afila (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. The Service

Nette connects to Gmail accounts you choose to link and uses automated analysis, including artificial intelligence provided by third parties, to assess incoming email for spam, scams and phishing. It shows you a risk level, a short explanation and alerts for risky email, and lets you read, send, mark and delete email in your linked accounts. We may change, add or remove features over time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), and old enough to form a binding contract where you live or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to use the Service.

3. Your account

4. Connecting Gmail

You may link only Gmail accounts you own or are authorised to use. By linking an account you authorise us to access it through Google’s APIs as described in the Privacy Policy, and to carry out the actions you request (such as sending, marking or deleting email). You can disconnect an account in the app, or revoke access in your Google Account, at any time. Your use of Gmail remains subject to Google’s own terms.

5. AI results are not guaranteed

Nette’s assessments are automated and can be wrong. A legitimate email may be flagged as risky, and a harmful email may be rated safe or not flagged at all. The Service is an aid, not a guarantee of safety.

Always use your own judgment before clicking links, opening attachments, replying, or sharing money, passwords or personal information. Do not rely on Nette as your only protection against fraud, and check suspicious requests directly with the supposed sender through a channel you trust. Translations of assessments are also automated and may be inaccurate.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Free plan and credits

The free plan includes one linked Gmail account and a monthly allowance of AI analysis credits; emails received after your credits run out may not be analysed until they are replenished. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and expire or reset as shown in the app. We may change the free plan, the number of credits, or which features are free at any time, and will tell you in the app before a change that reduces what you receive.

8. Subscriptions (Pro and Business)

Paid plans are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple’s App Store or Google Play (in-app purchase), monthly or yearly. The price, billing period and what the plan includes are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency as set by the store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your Nette account does not cancel a store subscription: cancel it in the store first. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies and any rights you have under consumer law. Purchases are also subject to the store’s terms (for the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement).

“Unlimited” analyses on paid plans are subject to fair use: to protect the Service, analyses may pause temporarily if an account’s usage is far above normal personal or business use (currently tens of thousands of analyses in 30 days). We may change plans and prices for future billing periods; the store will tell you about price increases as its rules require.

9. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and branding, belongs to Afila and its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own use in line with these Terms. Your emails and data remain yours.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as Google, OpenAI, push notification providers and app stores. We are not responsible for their services, and their availability may affect the Service.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend or end your access, with notice where reasonable, if you breach these Terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or others, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. When your account is deleted, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) survive.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that it will detect every harmful email.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Afila and its affiliates, officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, or for losses caused by fraud, scams or phishing that the Service failed to detect or that you acted on, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

14. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Afila against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here and update the effective date, and for material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of [jurisdiction], except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts. Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.

17. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
